Et nunc manet in te. [Neuchâtel], Richard Heyd, [1947]. In-16 [164 x 109] of 121 pp, (8) ff. the last 3 blank : red morocco, white morocco listel with gilt fillets on the boards, spine with nerfs decorated in the same way, lining edge to edge and endpapers of grey calf, gilt edges on witnesses, cover and spine preserved, folder with spine and bands with red morocco cover, with two gilt fillets, case (P. L. Martin). First edition, very rare: it was printed at 13 nominative copies on China paper. One of the three copies reserved for the author, this one justified: "First copy printed for André Gide." The "hors commerce" confessions, according to a confidential edition, contain the "passages of my Journal having to do with Madeleine, which do not appear in the volume of the Pléiade". A perfect copy in morocco lined by Pierre-Lucien Martin. Provenance : André Gide - Raoul Simonson, with bookplate - Robert Moureau, with bookplate (2004, n° 821).
