H_46 cm W_67 cm (as seen) From the series of fourteen plates in Prisons imaginaires, published from the 1750s onwards, the artist develops the theme of architectural views of imaginary underground prisons, always with a monumental dimension, thanks in particular to the bottom viewpoint. An original etching is kept at the Musée d'Art et d'Histoire de Genève, under inventory number E 2012-0817-095.
