Rare pair of medallion- and cabriolet-backed armchairs in finely molded, carved and lacquered walnut, decorated with ribboned rushes, scrolls, post friezes and rosettes. The back features curved armrests with cuffs, supported by moving supports. The curved front belt rests on five fluted feet, finished with acanthus leaves. Beautiful chased silk velvet table cover with stripes and flower motifs. France. Louis XVI period. H_94 cm W_70 cm D_51 cm Reinforced belts. Fractures and restorations to later legs.
