Fine, original Senneh rug (northwest Persia), late 19th century High-quality silky wool pile on cotton backing. Beautiful polychromy. Slight natural oxidation. Fairly good overall condition. Remarkable fineness. Density: approx. 8500 knots per dm2. Midnight-blue field with Herati motifs adorned with a large central geometric ivory medallion, also with Herati decoration, inlaid with a second ruby-red medallion. Saffron-yellow main border with interlacing sky-blue floral bulbs. H_140 cm L_190 cm Dimensions 176 x 136 cm
