Fine antique Kirman-Laver rug (Persia), late 19th century Wool velvet on cotton backing. Slight natural oxidation. Beautiful cherry field polychromy formed by a large central medallion with polychrome stylized palmettes of flowers and foliage, framing a midnight-blue polylobed central medallion inlaid with an ivory central rosette with floral crown. Four spandrels with finely drawn multicolored floral bulbs. Five borders, the main one ivory, with interlacing flower buds and fine multicolored crenellated stems. H_135 cm L_209 cm
