Late Senneh carpet (northwestern Iran), circa 1930/40 Wool pile on multicolored silk backing, (silk warp, weft and bangs). Excellent condition. Remarkable freshness of color. Beautiful finesse. Midnight-blue field decorated with Herati motifs (geometrically stylized palmettes of flowers and foliage in polychrome and in the form of stylized diamonds), adorned with three geometric medallions in ivory and midnight-blue on a ruby-red ground.
