CHIRVAN gallery carpet (Caucasus), late 19th century. Dimensions: 350 x 100cm. Technical features: Wool velvet on wool foundation. A rectangular midnight-blue field with multicolored stylized flower bouquets and a small ivory "S" (symbol of the supreme being), is framed by four borders. One external brick with chess pieces, two anthracite with garlands of flowers and the main ivory one with polychrome geometric birds. Rare graphics.
