A violet-wood chest of drawers with butterfly wings and friezes. It opens on three rows with four drawers, two of which are in the first row. The uprights are straight, the fronts curved and pinched, and rest on small cambered legs. Garnished with finely chased and gilded bronzes: lock escutcheons, leafy handles, apron, falls and sabots. Belgian red marble top with corbin. Stamped: I DUBOIS (on the base of the right rear jamb). Jacques DUBOIS (1694 -1763). Master in 1742. Paris. Louis XV period. H_ 85 cm, W_ 148 cm, D_ 67,5 cm Restoration. Bronze partly associated. Marble chips. Expert : Mr. Stéphane Pépe
