Ivan THEIMER (Born 1944) Landscape Oil on canvas Signed, countersigned on the back and dated 1973 H_98 L_130 cm Born in Olomouc, Moravia, in 1944, Ivan Theimer completed his art studies at the Uherske Hradiste school, not far from his hometown, where he took part in a group exhibition in 1965. Two years later, he held his first solo exhibition in Coventry. In 1968, he took part in the Bratislava International Biennial, and that same year decided to leave Czechoslovakia. He then moved to France, where he continued his studies at the Académie des Beaux-Arts.
