CAMPAN Jeanne-Louise Genet dite Madame (1752-1822) - Lot 30
CAMPAN Jeanne-Louise Genet dite Madame (1752-1822) Reader to Mesdames filles de Louis XV, secretary and confidante to Marie-Antoinette, teacher and pedagogue, directed the Maison d'éducation de la Légion d'Honneur in Ecouen. He has received the highest marks (sic) from the Duc de Rovigo, Minister of General Police, for his work as Special Commissioner. It has been more than three years since he worked under the orders of Cte de M* [...]. The Emperor assured him that his son would soon be promoted [...]". She concludes by referring to Mme de Cambise, who lost her sister
