MARMONT (Auguste Viesse de). 1774-1852. General, Duke of RAG - Lot 84

MARMONT (Auguste Viesse de). 1774-1852. General, Duke of RAGUSE, Marshal of the Empire. L.S. to Count Dupont. Paris, August 13, 1814. 1 p. ¼ in-4; browned paper. The marshal recalls that he has sent several requests for the Legion of Honor for soldiers in his Corps. "(...) I have come to remind you of the urgent request I made to you at the time to put it before the eyes of S.M.; and as I know that you have asked the regimental administration boards for information that could not be promptly provided, will delay the dispatch of this work (...)." He asks for staff officers to be separated from those of the division, attaching great importance to his requests, rewarding those who have proved their devotion to the King. He also encloses three officers who were not included in the first statement. Former Saffroy collection
