FRENCH SCHOOL circa 1830, follower of Théodore CHASSERIAU - Lot 84

Pierre Bergé et associés is honored to present, for the first time on the market, the personal collection of Dominique Wilms, mythical actress (La Môme vert-de-gris, OSS117, Le Grand Bluff...) turned passionate art history expert. Built up over a lifetime of research, discoveries and acquisitions, this collection brings together works that have not been seen for several decades.

Rich in remarkable ensembles, admirable ancient and modern drawings and previously unseen paintings, it illustrates the keen eye of a collector who knew how to recognize the strength of a hand, the elegance of a school and the depth of a pictorial gesture.
