CLEVES (Philippe de). 1459-1528. Lord of Lamarck and Winenda - Lot 79
CLEVES (Philippe de). 1459-1528. Lord of Lamarck and Winendaele, admiral of the Netherlands, advisor to Maximilian of Habsburg, then in the service of the kings of France. P.S. "Phpe". October 24, 1488. 1 pp. in-12 oblong, armorial stamp under paper, marked folds reinforced on verso. Quittance in which he acknowledges having received from Gilles Echard and Piètre de Oberghes, residing in Brussels, the sum of 350 livres monnaie de Flandres, which they had in custody from Petitjean of Strasbourg, which sum they took by the authority of the Archduke as confisked, as the said Petitjean holds a party contrary to that of the Archduke, concerning the peace made lately at Bruges. They have converted this sum into payment for the custody and preservation of the Château de Huy. Very rare.
