Large double-sided flat desk in oak and ebony veneer inlaid - Lot 38
Large double-sided flat desk in oak and ebony veneer inlaid with brass fillet and decorated with reserves. The rectangular, canted top is sheathed in gilded red leather, surrounded by a wide border encircled by a brass-plated corbin. It rests on two side pedestals opening with sixteen curved-front drawers and two middle drawers, with walnut inlay. Nine drawers are opposite each other. The eight cross-shaped uprights rest on gilded bronze ball feet. Paris. Louis XIV period. H 81.5 cm W_195 cm D_97 cm (Restoration to frame and use). Expert : Stéphane PEPE
