PARIS An important pair of covered pot-pourris vases in the Sèvres style, in porcelain and gilt bronze with polychrome decoration of birds in reserves surrounded by gold scrolls on a celestial blue background. Rich ormolu and chased-bronze mounts with leafy handles and openwork neck; the lids feature leaning loves and flowers, the square base with fluted wall adorned with winged sphinxes and rocaille scrolls.
