Pier Francesco GUALA (1698-1757), workshop of Head of Saint Peter Oil on canvas. H_45 cm L_37 cm (Wear, repaints and very oxidized varnish). Our painting is typical of Guala's work, particularly his portraits of saints with almost caricatured faces. Our composition can be compared with another very similar Saint Peter, sold at Christie's in New York on 05/11/1982 (see photo Frederico Zeri Foundation, Inv. 133239). Expert : Cabinet ARTÉON
