ZWART Piet (1885- 1977) NCW. Netherlands Cable Works Ltd. Delft Holland Piet ZWART était avec Jan TSCHICHOLD et El LISSITZKY parmi les designers les plus innovants et influents. ZWART était proche de « De Stijl », aussi dans sa façon d'utiliser les couleurs. Ce catalogue pour le « Kabelfabriek » est consideré comme son chef d'oeuvre. Piet ZWART with Jan TSCHICHOLD and El LISSITZKY among the most innovating and influential designers. ZWART was close to « De Stijl », also in the way he used color. This catalogue for the Kabelfabriek in Delft is considered as his masterpiece. One year after the original Dutch catalogue with cables - NKF - Piet Zwart designed a catalogue for the English reading market. The catalogue is not completely the same as the original one : less p., Japanese binding, some other images used, p. sometimes differently put together. Apart from the softcover edition with a yellow/grey wrapper, a few copies were bound. Édition unknown, but because of the luxeous way the catalogue has been produced, probably not so many copies were made. And of the bound edition even less. Rare. Une année après l'édition originale, Piet Zwart a produit un catalogue pour le marché anglais. La mise en p. et le choix des images n'est pas tout à fait identique à l'édition originale. Nombre de tirage inconnu mais au vu de la qualité de l'ouvrage, trés peu d'exemplaires doivent exister et encore moins pour ce livre relié. Rare.
